He raced in 2000 as part of the South African Junior team in Canada and Belgium. In 2001 he started his studies at the University of Pretoria. He was part of the University of Pretoria's cycling team until 2005. Best results National Time Trail Champs 3rd 2000; 2004 and 4th 2006. South African Student Champ 2001; 2004. Graskop Hill Climb Champs 2005. Started a full time job in 2006, stil enjoys competitive cycling.
