Stage 26 (101 km)

Notorious mando day featuring 2500 meters of climbing - most of any TDA stage - up onto the Ethiopian plateau including the final steep ascent thru Gondar city to the Goha Hotel where the tour riders staff and vehicles will enjoy a much earned double rest day. Race leader Mike Lantz beat his nearest competition Eric Beurton by 42 minutes, with Ivan in 3rd. They grabbed the 30 20 & 10 minute time bonuses (deductions) respectively, while spunky women's race leader Laura Harris was the only lady to make it to the top.
