The great D.D.R champion Klaus Ampler had two fantastic years in 1962 and 1963, for he won the 1962 & 1963 national road race championship, the 1962 & 1963 D.D.R Rundfahrt, the 1963 Course de la Paix and was elected 1963 D.D.R Sportman of the year. Klaus Ampler is Uwe’s father. Gainan Saidkhuzhin won the 1962 Course de la Paix & 10 national championship titles ! As to Milos Hrazdíra, he still holds the Czech record of having won Three national titles (road race/individual time-trial & team time-trial) in One (1982) single year !Resultat
